Product Overview

Miniature Low Profile Linear Guide is a compact ball-type rail and block assembly for small machines with limited mounting height and width. The standard MBN range includes sizes 7, 9, 12 and 15, with assembly heights of 8, 10, 13 and 16 mm respectively.

Each size is available with a standard C-type or extended H-type block. The narrow rail and compact carriage fit beneath small moving platforms and inside instrument housings, while different block lengths provide options for the available mounting space and load requirements.

Product Features

You can expect the features of our miniature square linear guide slider like:

Four-Point Contact Design

Gothic-arch raceways support loads from different directions. Applied loads and moments should be checked against the ratings of the selected block, particularly when the payload is offset from the rail.

01

Standard and Extended Blocks

C-type blocks suit shorter mounting footprints. H-type blocks provide higher catalog load ratings within the same size, with additional carriage length that must be allowed for in the machine layout.

02

Ball-Retainer Construction

The retainer helps keep the balls in place during handling. This is useful when assembling small rail-and-block components into equipment.

03

Material and Surface Options

Stainless steel blocks, rails and balls are available. The catalog also lists hard chrome and chemical black chrome treatments for steel rails. Specify the material and surface requirements so the applicable configuration can be confirmed.

Applications

01

Electronics Assembly Equipment

For component-feed slides and small tooling carriages in PCB and electronic assembly stations, where the motion components must fit between fixtures and adjacent mechanisms.

02

Inspection and Optical Instruments

For moving inspection cameras, sensor heads and sample stages along a defined path. The compact assembly fits beneath instrument platforms and inside optical housings.

03

Laboratory and Analytical Equipment

For sample-transfer and positioning modules inside analyzers. Material and lubricant selection should account for the instrument's operating environment and cleaning procedures.

04

Compact Automation and Printing Equipment

For small handling slides, printhead carriages and auxiliary positioning axes. The guide supports the moving assembly while leaving installation space for the drive and cable routing.

JSM Manufacturing and Supply

Zhejiang Jinshanmen Transmission Technology Co., Ltd. (JSM) manufactures linear guides for equipment builders and industrial distributors. Our 20,000 m² factory is equipped with precision grinding machines and CNC machining centers, with an annual output of 800,000 meters of guide rails across our product range.

JSM holds ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management-system certifications and provides OEM/ODM services. Buyers can discuss drawings, configuration requirements and order-specific inspection documentation directly with our factory team. Sample availability and production lead time are confirmed against the selected specification and quantity.

FAQ

Q: 1. Can I order blocks and rails separately?

A: Yes, for the interchangeable configuration. The catalog notes that combining blocks with different rails can affect paired height and width accuracy compared with a matched set. Provide the required accuracy grade and assembly arrangement before ordering replacement components.

Q: 2. Can this replace another brand's guide with the same nominal size?

A: The same size designation does not establish compatibility. Send the original part number and drawing so the mounting dimensions, rail profile and accuracy requirements can be compared before a replacement is proposed.

Q: 3. How is lubricant added after installation?

A: MBN15 uses a grease nipple on the end cap. MBN7, MBN9 and MBN12 have lubrication holes at the end cap for adding oil or grease. Leave access to these points when designing covers and nearby fixtures.

Q: 4. Will the optional bottom seal affect the mounting clearance?

A: Yes. For standard MBN9, MBN12 and MBN15 with the optional +U bottom seal, the catalog lists remaining H1 clearances of 1, 2 and 3 mm respectively. These are remaining clearances, not reductions. Check the locating-shoulder height against the selected assembly drawing to avoid interference. This option is not listed for standard MBN7.
