Dust Resistant Linear Guide is an HB-series linear guide assembly equipped with enhanced sealing components to help reduce the entry of dust and machining debris into the carriage. It is intended for machine axes where the standard sealing arrangement requires additional protection.
The guide size, carriage type, accuracy grade and preload are selected according to the equipment's load and positioning requirements. The dust-protection package is specified separately as part of the complete assembly configuration.

Dust-Protection Configurations
Four enhanced protection packages are listed in the HB-series catalogue:
- SH: Enhanced end wipers, enhanced bottom seals and upper seals.
- ZH: SH configuration with additional metal scrapers.
- DH: Double enhanced end wipers, enhanced bottom seals and upper seals.
- KH: DH configuration with additional metal scrapers.
The upper seals help restrict contamination entering from the rail's top surface and mounting-hole area. Metal scrapers help remove larger particles before they reach the end wipers.
Catalogue-listed compatible sizes are HB20, HB25, HB30 and HB35 in C/H carriage versions, plus HB45C. Additional sealing components can increase carriage length and running resistance, so installation clearance and drive capacity should be checked against the selected configuration.

CNC Machining Equipment
For feed axes and machine slides exposed to cutting chips. The protection package should be selected with reference to chip size, exposure direction and existing machine guarding.
Woodworking Machinery
For feed and positioning mechanisms exposed to sawdust. Dust extraction and external covers may also be required, depending on the amount of dust reaching the rails.
Industrial Automation
For transfer slides and positioning units located near particle-generating processes. Consider travel speed, contamination levels and access for maintenance when selecting the assembly.
